Clinical Research
In our efforts to provide you with the best possible health
care, Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater participates
in active clinical research.
Our program is led by Dr. Pramod Malik, one of the few
physicians in the world qualified as a Certified Physician
Investigator (CPI). Under his guidance, our research
division and physicians are able to offer patients new
GI disease medications made available only through research
protocols.
Our most recent GI disease studies include:
•
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
• Hepatitis C
• Chronic Constipation
• Camera Pill for colon
• Iron Deficiency Anemia
|
•
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (Crohn’s and Ulcerative
colitis) •
Colonoscopy preparations •
Anal Fissure •
GERD •
Diverticulitis |
Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater usually participates
in clinical trials with other medical centers, and often
finds the research has an international scope to it.
Our clinical research trials are primarily conducted at
our Chesapeake,
Virginia location, which is staffed by full-time Clinical
Research Coordinators who are members of the Association
of Clinical Research Professionals.
