Dr. Rivera was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in New York. He joined Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater in May 2016. He is on staff at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, Virginia and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Virginia.

Philosophy: Dr. Rivera believes that listening to the patient and working together for the best plan of treatment is essential. He feels this is especially important if the treatment is for a chronic issue.
